I\u2019m a Brit who lives near Birmingham with my wife, Jo. We have four kids \u2013 3 adult men and a teenage daughter (we eventually got the girl!). Early on in my career I discovered I loved working in the field of personal and organisation change and have been doing that in commercial environments for over 30 years. Before starting my own business in 2007, I spent nine years working as a Senior Manager at KPMG, one of the Big 4 global accounting and consulting firms. Towards the end of that time I was fortunate to lead an organisation wide change programme (Impact to Win!) with the top two tiers of leaders in KPMG Corporate Finance. The programme focused on breaking through to new levels of personal and organisational performance. The Board attributed part of the 29% growth in income to the work of this programme. During the programme, engagements with fees of more than \u00a3750k increased from four to 17! I feel grateful to have been involved in similarly transformational work ever since.<\/p>

I met Tim back in 2002 when we studied together for an MSc in Change at the University of Surrey. I was working at KPMG and was pretty serious and Tim was the complete opposite \u2013 he was much more of a free spirit, doing a lot of surfing – our lives could not have been more different! However, we immediately hit it off and have been close collaborators and friends ever since. When the MSc finished, we realised we had been through too much to just walk away and for many years since then, we\u2019ve enjoyed a co-coaching relationship where we\u2019ve shared our challenges and supported each other. In 2016, Tim first shared the idea behind the Recharge battery model when he was recovering from burnout and I\u2019d just had a little taste of the consequences of an ego-driven self-thrashing. I instinctively knew Tim was on to something and encouraged him to develop it further. I became deeply involved and found the model and tools were helping both me, and leaders I was coaching, to navigate some high-stress situations. The ongoing research and real-life testing, led to the book and a comprehensive offer for both teams and individuals.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I\u2019m a Londoner who lives in Oslo with my Norwegian wife, Stine and our 3 children. I began my career in London in advertising and then moved into the investment start-up world around the time of the dotcom boom. I eventually found my \u2018thing\u2019 and started to build a business coaching clients in how to raise money and have more impact with their teams. Since 2012, I\u2019ve been running Quickminds AS, a consultancy in Oslo and we have a roster of global clients who we advise on leadership, executive and team development as well as fundraising.<\/p>

I met Matt back in 2002 when we studied together for an MSc in Change at the University of Surrey. I was pretty wild back then and our lives could not have been more different. However, we immediately hit it off and have been close collaborators and friends ever since. Matt has always made me feel a better version of myself and has been a huge influence in my life.
